Rhode Island re-ups ACS for child healthcare services

Affiliated Computer Services Inc. won a three-year, $11.6 million contract from the Rhode Island Department of Human Services to continue supporting the state's healthcare program for low income children and families, the company announced this week.

Under the contract, ACS of Dallas will provide services to the state's Rite Care program, including program design, development and implementation planning, program startup and stabilization, delivery system operations and management, quality improvement, and program oversight and monitoring.

The Rite Care program provides health care to eligible residents through participating health plans. ACS uses an integrated staffing model for the project where company employees work side by side with state staff.

ACS is a provider of information technology and business process outsourcing for the commercial and government sectors. The company has more than 43,000 employees and annual sales of $4.1 billion.
