HP, Lockheed team on solutions

Hewlett-Packard Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp. this month formed a strategic alliance to pursue more government business around the globe.

The two companies have cooperated on programs in the past, including about $500 million in contracts over the past three years.

The formal alliance will let HP and Lockheed Martin cooperate on technologies, solutions, personnel and product plans, company officials said this month at the Military Communications Conference in Monterey, Calif.

Initially, the alliance will focus on logistics, intelligence and international opportunities.
