	The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene intends to release a new RFP for the Medicaid Pharmacy Point of Service system by Jan. 1. The contract with First Health will expire June 30.

The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene intends to release a new RFP for the Medicaid Pharmacy Point of Service system by Jan. 1. The contract with First Health will expire June 30.

The system will give pharmacies to process claims using a computerized point of sale system. This program will allow participating pharmacies real-time access to recipient eligibility, drug coverage, pricing and payment information.
