SI to build financial management tool for Army Research Lab

SI International Inc. won a one-year $2.4 million task order from the Army Research Lab in Adelphi, Md., for IT support for development of the enterprisewide Army Research Laboratory Database, the company said Tuesday.

The database is an integrated financial information system that will be a Web-based reporting tool to develop, manage and execute research projects for the Defense Department.

SI International will provide software development implementation and roll out the database's first two phases. The company also will provide network, systems administration and PC support and services at the lab's White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.

Reston, Va.-based SI International provides IT and network solutions, primarily for the federal government. The company had 2003 revenue of $168.3 million. SI ranks No. 66 on Washington Technology's 2004 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
