DRC buys Impact Innovations unit

Dynamics Research Corp. is buying the government division of IT services and outsourcing company Impact Innovations Group LLC of Atlanta in a cash deal worth $53.4 million, according to DRC.

The acquisition is expected to close within 30 days and is contingent on DRC's financing.

Impact Innovations said its government group generates $40 million in annual revenue. Of that, DRC said, 60 percent derives from defense and intelligence community clients

DRC of Andover, Mass., provides professional services and high-technology products to government and small and medium enterprises. It had 2003 revenue of nearly $245 million.
