Bill Schrader, founder and former chairman of PSINet, has been named to the advisory board for Internet television network, TV Worldwide. The company said it is looking to Schrader for help in raising a new round of financing.

Steven Kim has been named chief technology officer at IT workforce provider Peopleclick Inc., Raleigh, N.C. Kim comes to Peopleclick from utility-billing company Orcom Solutions where he was CTO and executive vice president.

Roberta Chagnot last month joined Herndon, Va.-based Software Productivity Consortium as vice president for market development. Consortium members include systems integrators and federal government contractors. Chagnot has worked for defense and civilian government contractors since 1984.

Tom McBride has been named vice president of business development at PureEdge Solutions Inc., Victoria, British Columbia. In his new job, former IBM-er McBride will focus on expanding relationships between the provider of forms-based business processes and its business partners.

Xybernaut Corp., Fairfax, Va., has appointed two new independent members to its board of directors. The company said that retired Army Gen. William Tuttle's addition to the board will help strengthen its relationships with the Defense Department and particularly the Army. Alan Merten, currently president of George Mason University in Virginia, brings a wide knowledge of technology research and development, and applied technology.

New to CompuDyne Corp., Hanover, Md., is Maurice Boukelif

Michael Long is leaving American Management Systems to join Deloitte and Touche USA LLP in Washington as director of its federal practice. Long will be responsible for expanding strategic relationships with federal defense, intelligence and military departments.

Karen Wilson has been named vice president of consulting for government IT research firm Federal Sources Inc., McLean, Va. She will be responsible for
delivering to FSI's clients specialty research consulting in areas such as pipeline development, market sizing and segmentation, competitive analysis and pricing, and other bid analysis.


Enterprise software developer Verity Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., announced promotion to vice Continued from page 44 president: Michael Kietzman for technical support; Gary Szukalski for demand and field marketing; Derek van Bronkhorst for corporate marketing; and Eric Weenink for finance and administration for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific operations.

Hugh Bolton has been promoted to senior vice president of strategic intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance programs at engineering and technical services provider MacAulay Brown Inc., Dayton, Ohio. 

Northrop Grumman Corp., Herndon, Va., has announced two senior executive promotions. L. William Varner is the new vice president of intelligence operations for its TASC business unit. Robert Brammer is now vice president and chief technology officer of the company's IT sector. Brammer was director of technology at the sector's TASC business unit. Varner was most recently vice president and director of the business unit's science and technology division.

Alfred Grasso has been promoted to senior vice president and director of the command, control, communications and intelligence Federally Funded Research and Development Center operated for the Defense Department by Mitre Corp., McLean, Va. Grasso will manage all of Mitre's C3I work and focus on assimilation across service and agency systems and programs to achieve goals in areas such as network-centric operations. He was most recently SVP and general manager of the Washington Command, Control and Communications Center at FFRDC.
