IT projects could lose funding
In its 2005 budget request, the administration said 621 IT projects worth $22 billion were put on the Office of Management and Budget's management watch list because they need improved performance measures, management or IT security. The problems were identified in the agencies' business cases.
"The administration will not support the expenditures [on these projects] until agencies have demonstrated their ability to address these weaknesses," the budget request said.
The at-risk projects were not identified in the budget documents.
