Dyntek Inc. has acquired Mormar Technology Inc., a network and application security consulting firm, the company announced Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mormar of New Orleans is an enterprisewide security consulting firm providing technology solutions to commercial and government clients. The company provides its clients with a wide range of technology solutions, including software development, network design and implementation, business process reengineering and security and audit evaluations.
The acquisition of Mormar will benefit Dyntek from both a financial and technical perspective, said Denny Denniston, Dyntek's senior vice president of business development.
The multiple contracts that the acquisition of Mormar brings to Dyntek "will have an immediate, incremental impact on our revenue," he said.
Mormar's client list includes Dow Jones, New York Stock Exchange, Kaiser Permanente, International Steel Group, the Internal Revenue Service and the State Department.
Floyd Marshall, Mormar's founder and chief executive officer, will join Dyntek as a senior consultant for network security.
Marshall has more than 20 years of experience in application security, business process reengineering and Internet-based technologies. He also has provided managerial and technical leadership on several recent Dyntek security contracts.
Dyntek of Irvine, Calif., is a provider of technology and management solutions to state and local government. The company has about 400 employees and annual sales of $83 million.
