Unisys Corp. won a six-year, $27.5 million contract from the United Nations Development Programme to provide infrastructure and enterprise application management services to the Development Programme and three of its partner organizations.

Unisys and its subcontractor, Corio Inc. of San Carlos, Calif., will deliver an enterprise application suite, including financials, human resources, data warehousing and customer relationship management, the company announced this week.

Unisys will provide program management and system integration services for the enterprise applications based on Corio's utilitylike approach to delivering software as a service, for a fixed monthly fee.

The U.N. Development Programme works on global and national development challenges, including democratic governance, poverty reduction and crisis prevention and recovery. The contract also covers the U.N. Population Fund, the Office for Project Services and the High Commissioner for Refugees.
