SRA wins radio job
SRA International Inc. won a task order to provide systems engineering and program support services to the Defense Department's Joint Tactical Radio System Joint Program Office. The task order is worth about $41 million over five years if all options are exercised. It was awarded to the Fairfax, Va., company under the General Services Administration's Federal Supply Schedule.
The JTRS program was created to address the problem of incompatibility of radios within and across the military services and between U.S. forces and allied and coalition partners. JTRS is a family of software reprogrammable radios that will provide U.S. commanders and warfighters with a single, integrated voice and data system.
