Public-sector unit at ZyLAB

ZyLAB formed a dedicated public-sector business unit to provide government customers with its records management and archival solution, ZyIMAGE, according to company officials.

The public-sector unit will be based in McLean, Va., which is also headquarters of ZyLAB North America LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Amsterdam-based ZyLAB.

ZyLAB's clients include more than 100 North American government organizations, such as the departments of Commerce and Justice, Montgomery County, Md., and the Air Force, Army and Navy.

"ZyIMAGE allows us to digitally archive our paper and electronic documents, making them readily accessible throughout our organization using a Web browser interface," said Dieter Klinger, chief of Enterprise Services in the Department of Technology Services, Montgomery County, Md.
