AT&T names Addeo to head government unit

AT&T Corp. has named Louis Addeo as the new president of AT&T Government Solutions, filling the vacancy left when Christopher Rooney was promoted to lead the company's reorganized and unified sales organization. The appointment is effective June 2.

Addeo has been serving as vice president of the homeland security and national information systems division in AT&T Government Solutions. This division serves the federal government, including the White House, the State Department, homeland security agencies and the intelligence community.

The appointment was announced May 9, one month after AT&T announced the corporate-wide reorganization and streamlining that included Rooney's elevation.
