LA County re-ups En Pointe for IT services

En Pointe Technologies Inc. has won a three-year contract from Los Angeles County for computer products and services, the company announced Thursday.

Company officials declined to provide an estimated value of the contract, but said that they netted $25 million in fiscal 2002 from the previous contract. The new contract has two one-year options.

Under the contract, En Pointe of Los Angeles will provide the county with computers, peripherals, software and related services. The award is one of several contracts won by resellers and manufacturers to provide technology products and services to Los Angeles County, the company said.

En Pointe has been providing these products and services to Los Angeles County since 1996 under similar agreements. The company has been able grow Los Angeles County into one of its premier accounts, said Bob Din, En Pointe's chairman and chief executive officer.

En Pointe is a provider of IT products, e-business and professional services to commercial and government customers. The company has about 500 employees and had annual sales of $257 million in fiscal 2002, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
