Orincon wins defense contract with $48 million potential

The contract, awarded by the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in San Diego, is worth $26.8 million over five years. If the company performs well, the value of the contract could reach as much as $48.3 million over eight and a half years, a company spokesman said.

Orincon will support technology development programs and expand technology transition and development efforts in signal and image processing; information processing; classification processing; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance signal exploitation and information management; processing system performance assessment; simulation and modeling; simulation-based design; human-computer interfaces that automate operator-intensive functions aboard Navy vessels; and Web-enabled collaboration for net-centric warfare.

Digital Systems Resources Inc. of Fairfax, Va., and ManTech Systems Engineering Corp. of Lexington Park, Md., are part Orincon's team.
