ACS nets $33M IT outsourcing deal with Riverside, Calif.

Affiliated Computer Services Inc., Dallas, won a four-year, $33.2 million contract from Riverside, Calif., to provide enterprise information technology outsourcing services, the company announced Jan. 28. The contract runs through 2006 and has two two-year options.

ACS has provided IT outsourcing services for Riverside since 1996 and has signed a number of supplemental agreements with the city.

Under the new contract, ACS will still manage the city's IT operations and will provide a broad range of IT services for the city. These services include data center management, help-desk support, application support, network management, desktop support and other consulting services to help the city continue to align IT operations and business objectives.

"We're eager to provide IT outsourcing services that will help the city streamline IT operations and achieve strategic IT objectives to better serve the Riverside community," said John Brophy, group president of ACS State and Local Solutions.
