SAIC promotes Josh Jackson to lead naval business

Science Applications International Corp. has promoted Josh Jackson to be in charge of the company's naval business unit.

Science Applications International Corp. has promoted Josh Jackson to be the leader of the company’s naval business unit.

Jackson will report to Bob Genter, president of SAIC’s defense and civilian sector.

Jackson was most recently in charge of SAIC’s Navy and Marine Corps information warfare operation and focused on digital transformation efforts.

With the promotion, Jackson will be senior vice president and will oversee a $1 billion portfolio.

“As we continue to transform and grow, Josh’s 19-year career with SAIC brings an understanding of our company’s rich heritage, but also the vision to help us shape our organization to more closely align to our strategy and drive organic growth,” Genter said in a release Tuesday.

Jackson joined SAIC in 2002 and has led programs, divisions, and organizations in support of defense and national security customers. He also is a former head of the solutions and technology group, where he responsible for strategy and market growth and for developing solutions in cloud, software, analytics, digital engineering and training.

Jackson recently penned a commentary for Washington Technology on how digital transformation unlocks value for government customers.
