Cherokee Nation Businesses names new defense & civilian lead

A 25-year veteran of such large businesses as ManTech, Leidos and IBM has been named the lead for defense and civilian solutions at Cherokee Nation Businesses.

John Boyle was most recently the senior vice president and chief growth officer for ManTech. There he handled sales and growth strategy for the company’s defense, civilian and intelligence sectors.

At Cherokee Nation Businesses, Boyle will help lead the company’s growth strategy and vision.

Cherokee Nation Businesses is owned by the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma and falls into the tribally-owned small business category. The company was ranked No. 71 on the 2020 Washington Technology Top 100.

Boyle will report to Steven Bilby, president of Cherokee Federal.

“What immediately struck me about Cherokee Federal was the company’s commitment to giving back to the Cherokee Nation and their relentless customer engagement,” Boyle said in a release. “It is impressive how dedicated this company is to delivering innovative technology and solutions to their customers while building the Cherokee community.”

Boyle holds a bachelor's degree in finance from Emporia State University in Kansas.
