Who are the market’s best small businesses?
Five small business were recognized Thursday night by the Small and Emerging Contractors Advisory Forum as some of the best in the business.
Also winning awards from SECAF were companies and individuals that were recognized for their contributions and support of small businesses. SECAF has been giving the awards annually for eight years.
The contractor of the year winners were:
- Fusion PPT, in the under $6 million revenue category
- Apogee Research in the $6 million to $12 million category
- Intelliware Systems Inc. in the $12 million to $25 million category
Atlas Research won the SECAF Award of Excellence for its work in the community and the government contracting industry as well as for its work with its employees.
Amyx Inc. was recognized for having the government project of the year for its delivery an “exemplary program with significant tangible and intangible value to the federal government,” according to a SECAF press release.
The Small Business Partner award went to CACI International for its support of mentorships, teaming, partnerships and other small business programs.
KnowledgeBank Inc. received the Special Recognition Award as a small business that, according to the judges, “exemplifies many of the core qualities of the other SECAF awards and has a strong focus on providing services and solutions that are useful and relevant to customers.”
Government Advocate of the Year went to Jackie Robinson Burnette for her leadership.
Kathy Albarado of Helios HR, won the SECAF Advocate of the Year award for her support of the SECAF mission.
