All the SEWP V winners? Not so fast

On Friday, I published a blog post that included what I thought were all of the winners of the $20 billion NASA SEWP V contract. A long-time source shared the list with me. We both thought it was a good, reliable list.

NASA officials declined to confirm the list, but didn’t raise objections to my having it or to my plan to publish it; however, they did warn that no awards are considered final and complete until NASA makes a public announcement.

Now, it turns out my faith in the list I had might have been misplaced. My source came back to me over the week and told me the information may be false or incomplete.

So, I’ve taken the blog posting down off of the website until I can get more information on the winners in Groups B and C.

The only official awards are Groups A and D, which we covered on Thursday. Those winners are correct.

I truly regret this. I rushed ahead with publication without getting enough confirmation. I should know better.

Believe me, I’ll have the final list up as soon as I can get it.
