Peraton has hired former Booz Allen Hamilton executive Mara Motherway as senior vice president of government and customer relations.
Motherway will report to Chief Growth Officer Mike King and be responsible for driving Peraton’s public policy and government affairs strategies, the company said Tuesday.
Most recently, Motherway was vice president for government relations and military affairs at Booz Allen Hamilton. She also held business development leadership roles for the firm’s defense and military intelligence business.
Her career in the private sector also includes a stint as director of special projects for BAE Systems Inc.’s ISR business.
Before joining industry, she served as a Navy officer for more than two decades in assignments involving Middle East combat operations, government acquisition oversight for satellite and special communications, and aide to the chief of naval operations.
