ManTech adds former DCSA director

ManTech International has hired Daniel Payne, former head of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency, as chief security officer.

Payne will support ManTech’s compliance with industrial, information and operational security regulations in his new role. He also is responsible for all aspects of security including physical, personnel, insider threats, digital and programs.

The three-decade government service veteran will report directly to CEO Kevin Phillips, ManTech said Monday.

Prior to DCSA, Payne was deputy director of the National Counter Intelligence and Security Center. He held other positions in counterintelligence and counterterrorism at the CIA.
