BAE Systems Inc. has added “president” to chief operating officer Tom Arsenault’s title and he has also been elected to the company’s board.
Jerry DeMuro continues to serve as CEO of the U.S. branch of the U.K.-based defense contractor.
Arseneault has been COO for several years and is responsible for operations and key business objectives including leading the strategy and corporate development team. With his larger title, he will take on more functional leadership for the BAE Systems Inc. organization.
"Tom has a proven track record leading complex organizations focused on fulfilling critical and technologically challenging missions,” DeMuro said in a statement Thursday.
Arseneault previously held senior leadership roles at BAE Systems Inc., including president of the company’s electronic systems sector and executive vice president of the product sectors.
Earlier in his career, he held positions in management and engineering with Lockheed Martin, General Electric and TASC.
