Best merger of equals

Buyers: TeraThink acquires Dominion Consulting

Value: Not disclosed but combined entity has $80 million in annual revenue.

Why: True mergers of equals are very rare in the government market but these two came together and melded management teams and operations. Their combined skills include customer transformation, automation, agile development, enterprise applications and cloud computing. They have both defense and civilian customers.

Coming together creates a larger platform for making more acquisitions and pursuing larger contracts.
