FEMA wants improved business operations

The Federal Emergency Management Agency wants to institute a task management system tool, as it looks to improve operations.

The agency-wide management system will streamline the workflow of tasks and correspondence, establish document access and version control, and provide real-time monitoring and reporting for insights into FEMA’s business operations performance.

Officials want to greatly reduce email significantly by automatic flow of information through the organization from analysts to senior leadership. They want to improve data quality with dashboards, increase situational awareness and transparency so everyone can understand how well the process is working. Lastly, officials want a workplace transformation by reducing paper-based business processes while supporting telework.

FEMA released a sources sought notice Dec. 2 to find what companies can offer in terms of solutions and past experience.

Responses are due by Dec. 12.
