DataPath leads federal government expansion with VP appointment

DataPath has appointed Kevin Benedict to the position of senior vice president of U.S. government sales.

In his new role, Benedict will lead the DataPath sales team that serves the defense, intelligence and civilian agencies as it expands its customer base.

Benedict was most recently vice president of business development at SES Government Solutions. Before SES, Benedict served at Raytheon, Ball Aerospace and SAIC.

Before joining the defense industry, Benedict served in the U.S. Air Force.

His hiring is part of the company’s strategic initiative to increase its presence in the Washington, D.C., area, the company said in a release. Benedict will work in the Northern Virginia regional office, which is set to open in early 2017.
