Science Applications International Corp. has been awarded a $9.7 million option to support the Navy’s Mine Warfare and Environmental Decision Aids Library program.

The MEDAL program provides mine warfare situational awareness, mission planning/evaluation, and asset management software to support existing and emerging mine warfare missions, users, and systems, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in McLean, Va., and is expected to be completed in September 2017.
