Accenture nabs $18.2M contract to improve naval shipyards

Accenture Federal Services has won an $18.2 million contract with the Navy to continue developing the Electronic Technical Work Document (eTWD) system.

The eTWD system solution will provide an interactive electronic technical work document system for use in the industrial environment aboard ship and in shore facilities to execute maintenance, repair, and modernization work in the naval shipyards, the Defense Department said in a release.

The system controls the workflow, preparation, and approval of instructions, release of work, execution, and certification.
