SAS appoints new head of federal data, analytics strategy

SAS has appointed JR Helmig to guide the company’s federal data and analytics strategy.
In his new role, Helmig will identify federal analytics trends and sources of disruption, foster public-private partnerships, and support research and development.
He joins the company from SDA Inc., where he served as special project officer. He has also held positions at the Defense, Homeland Security, and Treasury Departments.
