GSA planning to rework FedRAMP, make it faster

The General Services Administration is reworking the FedRAMP program to make it faster for vendors to receive approval through GSA or the Defense Department’s Joint Authorization Board, according to FCW.

Vendors have been increasingly voicing their frustrations about increasing wait times and uncertainty about the approval process, FCW said.

The agency has been testing the new process since early March. GSA intends for the Defense Department’s Joint Authorization Board to play a bigger role in the process, as well.
