Air Force plans set-aside IDIQ for IT service management

The Air Force is planning to award an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract to a small business for IT service management services. The services will support the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM).

The Air Force plans to release a finalized solicitation around March 25.

The IDIQ includes managing and operating NORAD and USNORTHCOM IT services, while providing logistical and general support. Work will also include supporting Information Technology Infrastructure Library processes and functions, IT service strategy, design, transition, operations, and continual service improvement.

During the contract, officials will have begun the planning and execution of transitioning services, processes, and functions to other Defense Department service providers, and company will offer support in the shift.

The IDIQ’s task areas include:

  • Service operations and stability
  • Service transition and support
  • Service optimization
  • Continuous service improvement

The Air Force released the presolicitation notice March 4. Responses are due by March 10.
