Lockheed Martin to contine installation of anti-torpedo combat system under $10.4M contract mod

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Technical Services has won a $10.4 million contract modification with the Navy to continue AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 installation support.

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control Technical Services has received a $10.4 million contract modification with the Navy to continue AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 installation support.

The AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 is a surface ship undersea warfare combat system with the capabilities to search, detect, classify, localize and track undersea contacts, and to engage and evade submarines, mine-like small objects and torpedo threats, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed in Honolulu, Hawaii, Norfolk, Va., and San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed in September 2017.
