Six companies win spots on $538M tactical, strategic systems contract

Six companies have won spots on the Air Force’s $538 million Platform for Engineering and Integration of Tactical and Strategic Systems (PEITSS) contract.
The winners are:
Under the contract, the companies will deliver systems and capabilities within the Theater Air Control System and other systems providing tactical and strategic battle management and command and control capabilities, the Defense Department said in a release.
These capabilities may include close air support, surveillance, communications, airspace management, and weapons control.
Work is expected to be completed in January 2023.
Ten companies bid on this contract, the Defense Department said.
