Army sets discussion for HR IT infrastructure contract

The Army will meet with industry Jan. 21 in Fort Knox, Ky., to discuss an upcoming contract for human resources command IT infrastructure support.

The Army will will meet with industry Jan. 21 in Fort Knox, Ky., to discuss an upcoming contract for human resources command IT infrastructure support.

The Army wants to provide a better understanding to companies about the contract’s mission, objectives, constraints and technical environment. Acquisition contracting officers and contracting officer’s representatives will make presentations during the industry day and officials will answer questions from those in attendance.

The scope of the contract includes operations, maintenance, and enhancements of IT infrastructure of the Army Human Resources Command (HRC). HRC is responsible for supporting a full range of IT systems and associated applications that support personnel functions. The contract will also include work related to hosting other Army HR systems and applications in the HRC-managed environment.

The contract’s task orders include:

  • Datacenter management
  • IT service desk/mission support
  • Network management
  • Systems management

The contract awardee will also take the lead role in program management.

The contract will be three years in duration, beginning in late June.
