Tecolote Research wins $7.3M acquisition support contract

Tecolote Research Inc. has won a $7.3 million task order with the Air Force to support the Space and Missile Systems Center’s Remote Sensing Systems Directorate.

Tecolote Research Inc. has won a $7.3 million task order with the Air Force to support the Space and Missile Systems Center’s Remote Sensing Systems Directorate.

The directorate combines the Infrared Space Systems and Defense Weather Systems Directorates to create synergies by leveraging the diverse capability portfolios, the Los Angeles Air Force Base said on its website.

Under the contract, Tecolote will provide acquisition and financial support.

Services will include advisory and assistance services to augment support to the directorate in the areas of cost estimating and earned value, financial analysis, director's action group, acquisition, manpower, and administration, the Defense Department said in a release.

Work will be performed at Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., and Boulder, Colo., and is expected to be completed in November 2016.
