Lockheed appoints new EVP, GM of F-35 program

Lockheed Martin has named Jeff Babione executive vice president and general manager of the company’s F-35 program, effective Jan. 1, 2016.

Babione succeeds Lorraine Martin, who has been appointed to the newly created position of deputy executive vice president, Mission Systems and Training, the company said in a release.

In his new role, Babione will lead development, production and sustainment efforts across the three F-35 variants for 13 military services in nine partner countries, Lockheed Martin said.

Babione has been with the company for almost 23 years.
