AAI Corp. nabs $10.5M contract to support Air Force training system

AAI Corp. has won a $10.5 million contract to support the Air Force’s B-1 Aircrew Training System.
The B-1 Aircrew Training System includes weapon system trainers, cockpit procedures trainers and mission trainers, all of which provide visual, motion, tactile and aural cures for ground training of B-1 aircrew members.
Under the contract, AAI will provide upgrades to the weapon system trainer and maintenance training system including upgrading the computational hardware and software, the Defense Department said in a release.
Work will be performed at Goose Creek, S.C., and is expected to be completed by December 2018.
