Lockheed nabs contract to support TSA Western region security

Lockheed Martin has won a contract to provide security capabilities to all Transportation Security Administration deployments in the agency’s Western region.

TSA’s Western region spans from Alaska to Colorado and goes as far west as Hawaii and Guam, Lockheed Martin said in a release. The region’s airports, ports, terminals, cargo facilities and other locations will use the contract.

Under the contract, Lockheed Martin will deploy security technology equipment for passenger, carry-on and checked baggage screenings to protect passengers, the company said.

This contract is part of a $450 million IDIQ contract for work across all three of the TSA’s U.S. geographical regions, which includes the Central and Eastern regions.
