Northrop Grumman wins contract to replace mission computers

Northrop Grumman has won a contract to deliver its next-generation computer for Lot 12 of the Marine Corps’ H-1 Helicopter upgrade program.

The FlightPro Gen III mission computer integrates advanced mission, weapons and video processing capabilities into a high-performance airborne computer capable of driving four independent, multi-function displays, Northrop Grumman said in a release.

Under the contract, the company will provide mission computers for the UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft.

The company did not disclose the value of the contract.
