In his new role, Jackson will work to increase the company’s presence in the commercial arena and expand its strategic offerings, the company said in a release.
Jackson was most recently assistant administrator for the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Environmental Information and Chief Information Officer, a position appointed by President Obama.
He has also held positions at General Dynamics, Quaker Oats, Monsanto and Shell Oil Company.
