Tech Data Corp. acquires Signature Technology Group

Tech Data Corp. has acquired Signature Technology Group in a move that bolster’s Tech Data’s data center offering.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The deal also further diversifies Tech Data’s services portfolio and provides added value for its customers, said president of Tech Data’s Americas business Joe Quaglio.

Phoenix, Ariz.-based Signature Technology Group Inc. will bring its data center services which enable solution providers to maximize technology investments, improve service levels, reduce risk and contain costs, Tech Data said in a release.

Charles Layne, Signature Technology Group president and CEO, along with the rest of the management team will join Tech Data. Layne will serve as president of the Tech Data’s Signature Technology Group.

The deal is expected to close in June.
