CenturyLink names new SVP of public policy, government relations

CenturyLink has named John Jones senior vice president of public policy and government relations, succeeding Steve Davis, who is retiring.

In his new role, Jones will lead the public policy and government relations organization, which represents CenturyLink’s public policy positions to federal, state and local policy makers and regulatory commissions, including the FCC, Congress, and other agencies and groups, CenturyLink said in a release.

Jones was formerly vice president of public policy and federal legislative affairs. He has been with the company since 1994, the company said.

He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in communications from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
