The U.S. Postal Service Inspector General is searching the marketplace for a knowledge management system and, in the future, may set up a list of pre-qualified solution suppliers as it moves ahead with a procurement.

The Office of the Inspector General wants a browser-based user interface with active directory, including a single sign-on. The OIG is also looking for the system to have an intuitive interface for content creation and management.

The system should support multiple tabs and browser windows, RSS feed subscriptions, and the capability to set up wikis and other collaborative documentation. It should also be able to consume and provide application program interfaces, or APIs.

The OIG released its request for information March 2. Responses are due by March 27.
