VA targets more info security funding

The Veterans Affairs Department has requested an additional 16 percent of funding toward information security, FCW is reporting.
The department wants to increase its budget for information security funding from $156 million in 2015 to $180.3 million.
This 16 percent increase will apply to network security, wireless and mobile security, security incident response and areas related to records management, privacy and the Freedom of Information Act request processing, FCW reported.
