ITI taps new SVP, global policy

The Information Technology Industry Council has named Josh Kallmer senior vice president of global policy, where he will lead the organization’s global advocacy operations.

In his new role, Kallmer will head up the global division, which focuses on expanding market access opportunities for ITI member companies around the world on issues like trade, internet governance, cybersecurity, regulatory policies, standards and accessibility, ITI said in a release.

Kallmer joins the organization after building up his expertise on trade-related matters over the years, the organization said. He served as counsel in Crowell & Moring’s international trade and international dispute resolution groups.

He also served as deputy assistant U.S. Trade Representative for Investment. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and a law degree from Georgetown University.
