Progeny Systems wins $16.2M contract for engineering, technical support

Progeny Systems has won a $16.2 million contract to provide the Navy with engineering and technical support services.
Under the contract, the company will provide engineering and technical support services as part of a Small Business Innovation Research initiative called Technology Infusion Methodology for Commercial Off-the-Shelf Based Systems, the Defense Department said in a release.
The initiative includes engineering services involving software development, procurement of commercial off the shelf products and hardware/software integration for submarine and undersea warfare weapon systems.
Work will be performed in Manassas, Va., and is expected to be completed by January 2016.
