DLA seeks support for five years of org changes

The Defense Logistics Agency wants to put support resources in place so it can meet anticipated mission changes and workload in the next five years.

DLA’s Technology Foundation Services needs a company to assist its administrators by providing UNIX remote system administration and troubleshooting at multiple DLA locations. It needs enterprise management to support business management and support and operations. The agency also needs database management support, along with developing and maintain a project plan that encompasses the tasks for all DLA projects.

DLA is a logistics organization, which designs and operates automated information systems (AISs) for the Defense Department’s logistics supply pipeline. The agency has undergone organizational changes that have cause areas of reinvention and the start of the enterprise resource planning environments.

For this procurement, the base year of the five-year contract is expected to begin in July with four option years.

DLA released a draft performance work statement in a solicitation Dec. 18. Responses are due by Jan. 7.
