Matrix Research captures $40M R&D contract

Matrix Research Inc. has won a $40 million contract to provide the Air Force with research and development in support of air and space sensor programs.

Matrix Research Inc. has won a $40 million contract to provide the Air Force with research and development in support of air and space sensor programs.

Under the contract, the company will also perform modeling, analysis, simulation, development, fabrication, characterization, testing, evaluation, demonstration and conceptualization of radio frequency and electro-optical subsystem, and device technologies for air and space sensor applications. 

Work will be performed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, and is expected to be complete by Dec. 17, 2021.

Three companies bid on this contract, according to the Defense Department.
