Alion to support Air Force Research Lab under $4.5M contract

Alion Science and Technology has won a $4.5 million contract to support the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Under the contract, Alion will research, develop, test and evaluate technologies that will bring enhanced command and control battle management to warfighters, the company said in a release.

This will entail designing, developing, testing and integrating services for the Holistic Waveform Development Kit Advanced Waveform Development Environment Ecosystem, which will enable rapid development of software-defined radio waveforms, Alion said.

The company will also support the FLEX Data Link, which supports multiple different data transmissions at the same time.
