NASA releases draft RFP for $200M LITES II IDIQ

NASA has released a draft solicitation for its five-year, $200 million Langley Information Technology Enhanced Services II indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract.

Projects under LITES II span a range of IT services from traditional IT services to specialized IT that involves science and engineering software used in modeling and simulation.

Task orders placed against LITES II will include system administration, such as configuration management and hardware and software enhancements, and database administration, such as installation, security of databases, archiving and restoring.

In addition, NASA will use the LITES II for application development, data reduction programming and analysis, and maintenance and operations.

NASA plans to use the IDIQ for work with its air traffic operations lab, airspace and traffic simulations, cloud computing services, and Langley IT security support services.

NASA will host a pre-solicitation conference Dec. 9 at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va.

Officials expect to release the request for proposals around Feb. 6, with proposals due in early March, and they plan to award the contract in August.

NASA released the draft solicitation Nov. 28. Responses to it are due by Jan. 8.
