Dell, Nutanix partner to add Nutanix software to Dell appliances

Dell and Nutanix have formed a partnership that will add Nutanix software to Dell servers. The new offering is called Dell XC series of Web-scale Converged Appliances, powered by Nutanix.

The XC Series will combine Dell PowerEdge servers with Nutanix software and will feature five appliances targeted virtualized applications such virtual desktop infrastructure and enterprise business applications, Nutanix said in a release.

Dell will deliver the XC appliances directly, and they will be able to run on one of multiple hypervisors, including VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V Deployment.
